Libbey Awning Striped Tom Collins Set of 8
The Libbey Awning Striped Tom Collins Glasses are a distinctive line of glassware that trace their origins back to mid-20th century American manufacturing. Libbey Glass Company, founded in the early 19th century, became well-known for producing reliable, stylish, and affordable glassware for both domestic and commercial use.
The Awning Stripe pattern, introduced in the 1940s and gaining popularity in the 1950s, is characterized by its bold, vertical stripes reminiscent of classic awning designs seen in urban storefronts and outdoor cafes. These stripes are typically rendered in pastel or bright colors, which contributed to a sense of optimism and contemporary design during the post-war era.
This set comes with 8 glasses; 3 purple, 3 light Blue, 2 dark blue. These have a very fun texture to them, you can feel the stripes on the glass.
Please see photos for details.
Please note that all of our items are true to the time, so they may show some form of aging/fading/use. They may not be perfect, but they are all spectacular.
